چکیده
Background: The negative energy balance around calving and in early lactation is the major cause of increased incidence postpartum metabolic disorders, reduced milk production impaired reproductive performance. This study was aimed to evaluate effect rumen protected choline, fat supplementation Vit-E selenium injections on plasma endocrine profile, productivity, fertility economics transitional Gir cows. Methods: Forty advanced pregnant multiprous cows an organized farm were randomly distributed into five equal groups (T1 T5; n=8 each) fed managed individually from 30 days prepartum till 60 postpartum. Cows T1 (control) group basal diet, while treatment received diet + choline-RPC @ 45 g/d/cow (T2), fat-RPF 80 -30 +15 peripartum then 10 g/kg yield (T3), RPC RPF combination as above (T4) Inj. E-Care Se(R) ml i/m (Vit-E 500 mg Se 15 mg) -30, -15, 0, +15, +30 +45 (T5) along with blood samples for estimation levels insulin, IGF1, PGFM, estradiol (E2), progesterone (P4) cortisol. puerperal events parameters recorded months Result: fortnightly P4 concentration decreased, E2, PGFM cortisol gradually significantly (P less than 0.01) day thereafter P4, E2 remained or very low, decreased 45-60 postpartum, overall all groups. significant only higher values T3 T4 T2 T5 group. insulin IGF1 concentrations fluctuated insignificantly during phase lowest by also at some intervals highest both hormones followed uterine involution earlier control. first heat (days) (33.6±3.4), delayed (63.5±9.5) intermediate Group T4. conception rates 50.0, 75.0, 62.5, 75.0 87.5% T5, respectively, service period (96.3±14.6), (137.3±11.2), T1, (187 214 days). net returns over feed cost T2, T3, control Rs. +15898, +6150, +7165 +24060, respectively. findings reflected beneficial economic role alone Vit E profile improved

Effects of rumen-protected choline supplementation on metabolic and performance responses of transition dairy cows.
The objective of this experiment was to compare metabolic and milk production parameters in dairy cows supplemented and nonsupplemented with rumen-protected choline (RPC) during the transition period. Twenty-three nonlactating, multiparous, pregnant Holstein cows were ranked by BW and BCS 21 d before expected date of calving and immediately were assigned to receive (n = 12) or not receive (cont...

The objective of the present study was to determine the effects of rumen-protected choline (RPC) supplementation on body condition, milk production and milk choline content during the periparturient period. Thirty-two Holstein cows were allocated into two groups (RPC group - with RPC supplementation, and control group - without RPC supplementation) 28 days before the expected calving. Cows were...

Five experiments evaluated the effects of rumen-protected PUFA supplementation on reproductive function of Bos indicus beef cows. In Exp. 1, 910 lactating primiparous Nelore cows were randomly assigned to receive 0.4 kg/d of a protein-mineral mix in addition to 0.1 kg/d of a rumen-inert PUFA source (PF) or 0.1 kg/d of kaolin (rumen-inert indigestible substance; control), from the beginning of e...

Twenty four primiparous and multiparous Holstein cows on early lactation, beginning five weeks postpartum, were used for four weeks to investigate the effects of supplemention of rumen-protected choline (RPC) or vitamin E on milk yield, milk composition, dry matter intake, body condition score and body weight. The cows were randomly assigned to one of the following treatments: I)no supplement (...
